new tests vs. already published code

The F.A.Q encourage to add new tests. BUT doing so, can make existing solutions fail. I wonder what would be the best way to handle this situation? Would it even be possible to re-test all published solutions and flag the "new-fails" and / or notify their respective authors?

P.S: I came across this topic when I reviewed a solution (https://py.checkio.org/forum/post/15217/no-check-for-strictly-larger/).
P.P.S: I want to thank everyone who keeps this site running by providing missions, tests, hints (!),... I'm fairly new here, and I hope my questions/proposals somewhat help to make CheckiO even better.
