[general] Should I be google-fu'ing this?

So I've been using this site to learn Python for the past few days and in some cases I'm coming up with my own code, but usually I've just been googling "how to do this?" or "how to do that?".

I know with a lot of coding, it's really easy to do that and just modify the code to your liking; but for the purposes of learning the material, should I be doing that?
