Asserts correct?

I haven't solved this one yet, but looking at the asserts, they don't make sense to me. "assert secretroom(5) == 1 #five, four, one, three, two" - surely the answer here is 2? why is 1 the answer? and "assert secretroom(1000) == 551" - surely out of all the numbers, the two hundreds would be the last after a sort? What am I missing here?
