• Share Your Discovered Tasks

We start this weeks news digest with the O’Reilly competition. As you know, the competition had a huge turnout and we have awarded the three top solutions for both of the contest challenges copies of The Python Cookbook from O’Reilly Media. We send our heartfelt congratulations to those six players!

Next we would like to announce the creation of a new task titled Determine the Order which can be found on the GitHub Island.

We have also implemented two new features. The first is a markdown feature that allows for better formatting while writing comments or forum posts. The second allows you to share your favorite missions with your friends and allow them to try their hand at it too, even if they haven’t unlocked that island. Here is a link to the new task:

Over the past week we have been developing a team of dedicated CheckiO players. This team has been working hard to brainstorm awesome new ideas for features, missions and locations for everyone on CheckiO. We are looking forward to develop these ideas into something playable very soon!

Lastly, every week Guido van Rossum, the Benevolent Dictator for Life of Python, checks out different CheckiO solutions and kamikaze was this weeks lucky winner! Here is the link if you would like to check it out.

That’s all the news for this week! I’ll see you on CheckiO!
