Shortness is overrated anyway. :-) But that OPERATIONNAMES stands there completely unused. You could make _that your dict. Also, if you're gonna have == and !=, then im is <=. ;-)

"im <=" is awesome OωO I just tried building my dict with OPERATION_NAMES, it was fun (methods in dir(int) is far more than I ever know ~) boolean=lambda x,y,o:dict( zip(OPERATION_NAMES, [int.and, int.or, int.le, int.ne, int.eq]) )<a href="x,y">o</a>

I have a similiar idea to yours there, but mine uses a not-anonymous function, doesn't trigger the o[:2] and uses a faster approach for 'ex'

Clever trick with the [o[:2]] there. ;) But this also has to create all the dictionary elements, and for that, all the boolean operation for the values need to be performed.
