I don't get the task

As discribed pawns can go one step forward, diagonals left and right. The pawn is under protection if it's cell is on the way of pawn from the same team.
Following this rule of chess all pawns are in safe on the left picture, because 2d is under protection of 3c and 3e. On the right picture only if you can imagine the situation that the line of black pawns could probably can appeat in line 3, there are 3 pawns 4d 4e 4f under protection of 5e. So what is the point???
