I'm using a Spanish keyboard in Ubuntu 19.10. I can enter any other character in the interpreter prompt (bottom box with >>> to the left) but when I type & (which in my keyboard is shift+6) the text is replaced by the previous command in the history. If I type ( (in my keyboard is shift + 8) the text is replaced by the next command in the history.
If I copy and paste one of those characters in the prompt textbox everything works fine.
