This week in Python: Code of +6 Efficiency
Kicking Python into High Gear
This one goes out to all you fans of code efficiency. Shreyans Bhansali from Socratic.org took a hard look at his 350ms load time and thought he could do better. With one line of code, he boosted the page load speed by 60%, slashing load times to 96ms.
Are Annotations the Future?
Guido van Rossum, Benevolent Dictator for Life and friend of CheckiO, recently floated the idea of using an Annotation system in Python. Such a system would reflect similar ones in Haskell and MyPy. He thinks that Annotations would make it easier to debug code and bring Python in line with what could be a future standard. What do you think? Leave a comment below!
