`str.isdigit` returns a method, which can be called with a string as it's argument. <pre class='brush: python'>>>> x = str.isdigit >>> x <method 'isdigit' of 'str' objects> >>> x("44") True </pre> Similarly when you do `is_number = str.isdigit`, this method can be called with a string argument in it.
