Ooh! This is clever! I like it! Do you need the "zero" in the d.get() though? If it's 0 it's not greater or less than 0, so it returns False for both, or 0 - 0 which would get "zero" from the dictionary

The “zero” in the d.get() method is not necessary in this particular implementation, as the expression (num > 0) - (num < 0) will always return a key that exists in the dictionary (1, 0, or -1). <pre class='brush: python'>def determine_sign(num: int) -> str: d = {1: "positive", 0: "zero", -1: "negative"} return d[(num > 0) - (num < 0)] </pre>
