I am new to Python, so I am probably making a mistake. When I run this, it does not seem to pass this assert: <pre class='brush: python'>assert is_inside(((1, 1), (4, 1), (2, 3)), (3, 2)) is True, "Third" </pre> Any clarification on this?

Hi, the assertion fails because the result `is not True`, however, `bool(result) is True`. The reason is that `Polygon.contains` returns `<class 'sympy.logic.boolalg.BooleanTrue'>` insteaf of `True`, so identity comparison with `is` does not hold, but equality comparison with `==` does. If a Python boolean value is required the result should be converted, e.g., with `bool(result)`.

@flpo : (1) Thanks for your reply. I tried those test cases again using "==" to replace "is" and they all pass now. :-) (2) Most importantly, I learn something new today. ^_^
