Ah, I should've suspected you've done this already. No need for `b` if you use `find` instead of `index`.

Wow, there's the mathematician. This is really too sweet. Simply mindboggingly awesome solution. This deserves an upvote simply for the creative title alone. Gave me a good chuckle with its ZoP reference. Keywords: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_number">imaginary</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_number">complex</a> numbers and Zen of Python.
