I think it's wrongly named. :-P Yes, I solved some five or six of oduvan's missions by just an import, but importing&renaming itself is a line. There's no reasonable way to pretend it's not. [As opposed to some other languages, where imports are a directive to a compiler, in Python they are perfectly ordinary executable (and compilable) statements.]
