Why? My goal isn't obscurity. My goal is to teach people the right way to approach any problem with Python. If by far the most elegant way to solve a problem is the obvious one, I'll write that. Why wouldn't I? I'm trying to present Python as a nice language, not an ugly one.

Of course it is not an accident. Task text: <blockquote> You are given two dates ... </blockquote> Why would I use datetime??

I had seen peoples use datetime and other use date. I ask my self what's the best practice. Now I know the difference between this two objects. (RFTM....) xD

Hmm... date represents a date, datetime represents date with time. I can't see where the FM is needed. :-D Using `datetime` for dates is about the same as using `float` for integers: much more complicated, with weird technical details to think about, for no benefit at all.

Thanks. It's always when you just need an expression. If your function would naturally just have a single statement <pre class='brush: python'>return whatever </pre> you can always write it as a lambda. Not that you always should, but those are mostly social concerns. :-)
